Workshops
The traditional practical workshops that immediately precede the General Meeting of the IPS will be run at the IOCB Prague (Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences) by experienced scientists and lecturers.
Workshop will start on September 28 at 9:00 AM.
For accommodation during the workshops, we propose the following hotels within walking distance from the workshop venue:
⦁ 4* hotel International, 85 EUR per night
⦁ 4* hotel Vienna House Diplomat, 90 EUR per night
⦁ 3* hotel DAP (~55 EUR per night with breakfast)
⦁ 3* hotel and hostel at The Masaryk Dormitory Congress Centre (~45 EUR per night with breakfast)
After the workshops we will get you to the main conference venue in Marianske lazne by organized buses.
Important:
You must be an IPS member to be able to attend the workshops. The workshop registration fee includes materials, workshop handouts, and lunch, but it does not include accommodation and transportation.
Workshops start on Sat 28th Sep at 9am at IOCB Prague, and end on Sunday 29th Sept at noon-ish. Applicants can choose one of these three workshops:
#1-Hands-on Practical Enzyme Kinetics (tutors Guy Salvesen and Christian Sommerhoff)
#2-A Beginner's Guide to Imaging Peptidases in Cells and Tissues (tutor Galia Blum)
#3-TAILS Proteomic Substrate Discovery: Data Analysis (tutors Chris Overall, Ulrich auf dem Keller, Oliver Schilling, Simonas Savickas)
Participants will be informed of all details in due course by email.
